Super Mario (Solution 1)

Super Mario Bros. is a popular 2D platformer game that was launched in 1985 by Nintendo. It is one of the most recognisable video games of all time. Mario is controlled by the player as he leaps, runs, and battles his way through levels populated with obstacles and foes.

    Mario is an iconic game and a pioneer fot the 2D platformer genre, having a simple combat mechanic invlolving jumping on enimes to eliminate them making it easy to pick up and play. Mario also was responsible for popularising the power up mechanics wich aid the player through combat and platfoming the levels, filled with obsticals and hazards.

  • Story

    Mario has a simple story line wich follows the protaganist sharing the name of the game, as he progreses through levels with the motive of rescuing the princess of the mushroom kindom, princess Peach, who had been kidnapped by Boswer the Koopa king.

    The story is a light harted and very accsisible not being to important to the game, and just provides some context, so in all isnt a main focus.

  • Level Design

    Mario has a wide range of levels wih challenge the player with hazards including aquatic realms and underground passages, each with its own special obstacles and challenges. The levels have a pleasing difficulty curve and a well-designed layout that encourages players to experiment and explore.

  • Nintendo controle scemes, as it is a Nintendo exclusive, very simple and intuitive.

  • Althought these controll sceme is pattented by nintendo i can still take inspiration from it.

  • one of the major ploblems with PC game controlls is that its easy for new players to get lost as there are so many keys. This is why using a gamepad is much more accsesible and i may include it in my game

The game is set in a shadowy underground realm and centres on a young knight who is on a mission to learn the truth about the lost kingdom of Hallownest. The game has difficult combat, creative level design, and an extensive storyline that develops as the player plays.
