ShellShock Live


Overview
ShellShock Live is an online multiplayer free-to-play strategy game made and published by kChamp games, where players try to destroy eachothers' tanks to win the game by aiming the turrets at the correct angle with the right amount of power to hit them.
Multiplayer functionality
A simple online multiplayer game which can have 2 players concurrently
Graphics
This is a simple 2D game with basic models that I can take inspiration from when making a game in kaboom.js
Features
Controls
The controls are simple and make it easy to aim the tank's turret and adjust the power of the shot
Simple 2D models
The simple 2D models will be fit for my game as I won't be focusing on fancy details or graphics
Multiplayer
The simple multiplayer model of the game is something that can be implemented quite easily
Graphics effects
ShellShock Live contains image effects such as bloom. These features are unnecessary for my project as I will be focusing on the gameplay aspects more.
Abundance of weapons and abilities
To keep the game simple and easy to pick up, I will be limiting the number of weapons and abilities
Online checkers

Overview
Checkers is a 2-player strategy board game where each player has 8 pieces which can move diagonally and take the opponent's pieces by jumping over them. It is a game known by everyone which can be played at all ages and still be enjoyed. There are many websites where you can play the game online with random people or your friends.
Easy to pick up
Checkers is a simple game that is known by most people today. The design only needs very basic models and the graphics are primitive meaning anyone can run the game on their computer. The game takes time to master however, meaning people will spend time playing the game to improve.
Simplicity
The game will be simple and easy to pick up. No fancy graphics. Controls are simply click and drag
Multiplayer
Having a 2 player game to play with a friend online is important as it is one of the goals of my project
Models and design
The background will be a chequered board with 2 distinct colours and pieces are coloured circles to tell whose pieces are whose
Profiles
Storing personal data or passwords on a database means that data breaches are possible and logging in takes time, removing from the pick up and play aspects I am hoping to achieve
Customizable themes
There will only be one theme used for my game and adding multiple would take too much time to design
Brawlhalla
Overview
Brawlhalla is an online multiplayer free-to-play 2d platform combat game which uses intuitive controls and colourful graphics to present a clean and fun fighter that you can play with your friends or with random people online.

Gameplay
The online multiplayer gameplay and intuitive controls make it an addictive game which requires a lot of skill to master.
Colours
In my game I will include many bright colours to enhance the visuals and attract the players' eyes to the screen.
Skill
Brawlhalla is an addicting game which anyone can play but requires skill to improve and therefore adds an element of mastery which provides satisfaction to the player when they see themself improve. I want to have a similar feeling in my game.
Platforming style
My game is going to have no jumping or platforming in the mechanics
Multiple characters and weapons
Implementing multiple characters or weapons may take too much time to be convenient towards developing my project so only one weapon will be included in my game.
Controls
The controls for this game are intuitive but too complex for a game as simple as mine.
Worms
Overview
Worms is a game franchise of artillery tactical games where teams of worms with a range of weaponry aim to eliminate the enemy team with skilled shots through the air.

Artillery shooter style
The skill required to aim the weapons in this game makes it addictive and gives the reason to want to improve
Randomly generated terrain
Randomly generated terrain provides a different game experience each time
Variation
The gamehas a wind feature which affects how a players' bullets will travel meaning they must adjust their shot accordingly
Complex player models
The models for the objects in my game will be very simple and not as advanced as in worms
Range of weaponry
Worms contains a vast amount of weapons which the player can choose from which I will not have enough time to include in my game
Platoons
The game contains up to 4 teams which is more than my game will include. It also has multiple playable characters for each player which I won't include
